Planet Groove began their musical mission with their "Coolest Planet From The Sun" CD in 1994.   This 7 piece funked up R&B/Soul band features 6 singers, a 3 piece horn section that will blow your head clean off, and an incredible rhythm section that stays in the pocket all night long.    In 1999, Planet Groove released "Planet Groove Live", which was recorded at a live show.  Look at the website to see upcoming shows, you don't want to miss this band.

Planet Groove lists their influences as James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, Chicago, Stevie Wonder, Delbert McClinton, etc...     When you see this band live, you will no doubt hear homage to these classic artists in the Planet Groove set list, and you won't just hear note for note cover songs, Planet Groove prides itself on doing their own arrangements of every song they cover.
