Dale (Lips of Steel) Weisshaar- Trumpet, Vocals

Day Job- Heavy Equipment Operator, specializing in Golf Course Construction

Music History-  Dale, brother of Bill, began playing with Ben & The Gentlemen in 1985, and graduated from Willowbrook High School in Villa Park as did Ben, Bill, and Hugh.   While attending high school, Dale was very active musically in concert band, orchestra, brass ensembles, and jazz band.   The Willowbook concert and jazz band placed first in district and state while Dale was a member.   After high school, Dale attended Elmhurst College where he minored in music, and was a member of the Elmhurst College Jazz Band (1971-1972).  Dale, being the elder statesman of the group Planet Groove, is a solid musician with quite an impressive high range, hence the nickname "lips of steel".   Dale is also one of the funniest band members, which is much needed when you spend so much time playing together.

Something No One Would Know About Dale-  His tropical fish actually have personalities, is a sexual dynamo (verification upon request), his kids actually like him, and hates people when they're not polite.
